Like the Old European cut this beautiful cut also has short wide lower pavilion main facets which results in large flashes of dispersion and scintillation. However, more of the original diamond crystal was maintained by not fully rounding the stone, but rather keeping the somewhat squarish appearance of the original octohedral crystal.
Many were much more squarish, sometimes even to the point of being almost rectangular if the original crystal was so shaped, and most had larger culets than are shown below. If you would like a larger culet, just ask, and it shall be cut that way, just for you!
